Chairman off the the Board \ ADOLF HEINRICH Commissioner • February 13 , 1989 U L4 John Allen, Mayor City of McCall Box 1065 McCall , Idaho 83638 Dear Mayor Allen & City Council Members: The Valley County Board of Commissioners would like to inquire if the City of McCall would be receptive to entering into a cooperative agreement between Valley County and the City of McCall for a joint city/county election registration. The city currently conducts a separate registration of qualified electors for elections held within the City and the County currently conducts separate registration of qualified electors for County election. Duplicate registration involves duplicate expenses and duplicate registration required by the qualified voter residing in both entities. Idaho Code 50-476 provides that joint registration maybe conducted between separate municipal corporations of political subdivisions of the State of Idaho. If the City of McCall would be interested, Valley County would provide any information necessary to assist you in making a decision. The Board respectfully submits the enclosed prepared document for your review. Thank you for you consideration. Sincerely, VALLEY COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Howard Koskella, Chairman Adolf Heidrich, Commissioner Tom Olson, Commissioner LI/jn
