HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 03-4163 Mayor's Appointment to Council Committees1 1 RESOLUTION NO. 03 -4163 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY MAKING APPOINTMENTS TO VARIOUS CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEES WHEREAS, by virtue of their position as a City Councilmember, the Councilmembers are eligible to serve on various committees; and, WHEREAS, the Mayor has requested and received information from various Councilmembers on their interest in serving on various committees; and, WHEREAS, the Mayor has presented his recommendations for the various City Council committee appointments and, - WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said recommendations. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE: SECTION 1. The appointments contained on Exhibit "A" for the various City Council committees are hereby made; and, SECTION 2. Appointments are effective upon passage of this resolution and shall continue until the next regularly scheduled selection of Mayor of the City of Temple City. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on this 1st day of April, 2003. Arrighi 9050 Las Tunas Drive, Temple City Meeting: 2nd & 4th Mondays of each month @ 5:00 p.m. (The Temple City Chamber of Commerce is a private association comprised of local business owners and merchants for the purpose of helping businesses and lobbying for their interests in the community. The City's delegate is a non - voting member of the Temple City Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.) TEMPLE CITY SISTER CITY, INC. Liaison: Cmbr. Arrighi 9701 Las Tunas Drive, Temple City Meeting: 4th Thursday of each month @ 7:30 p.m. (The Temple City Sister City Association is a City affiliated private organization that promotes international friendship between Temple City and its two sister cities, Hawkesbury, Australia and Magdalena, Mexico, by organizing and facilitating exchange visits.) NOTE: By Resolution No. 65 -440, The Mayor of Temple City is the Honorary Chair of Temple City Sister City, Inc,. and the City. Manager is an Ex- Officio member of the Sister Cities, Inc. II. Wong (The Capital Improvement Projects Committee is an ad hoc committee of the City Council, which reviews proposed city capital improvement projects and makes recommendations to the full City Council for approval.) TEMPLE CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT COMMITTEE Members: Cmbr. Capra Cmbr.
