A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE,
INDIANA ESTABILISHING A CUMMULATIVE FIRE EQUIPMENT FUND
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle is authorized, pursuant to
I . C. 36-8-14 , to provide for a Cummulative Building and Equipment
Fund for the purchase or lease of firefighting equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Common Council has held a public
hearing as to such proposal after public notice; and
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Common Council has determined that it
is in the best interest of the community to provide for a
Cummulative Fire Equipment Fund;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GREENCASTLE THAT there be established a Cummulative Fire
Equipment Fund and that a tax be levied in an amount sufficient to
raise Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20, 000 . 00) annually.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT this resolution be submitted for
approval of the State Board of Tax Commissioners as required by
law.
PASSED AND RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Greencastle at its regular meeting this 13th day of April, 1993 .
