A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE,
^ INDIANA AMENDING RESOLUTION 1993-5
ESTABLISHING A CUMULATIVE FIRE EQUIPMENT FUND
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle is authorized, pursuant to
I .C. 36-8-14 , to provide for a Cumulative Building and Equipment
Fund for the purchase or lease of firefighting equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Common Council held a public hearing
on Tuesday, June 8, 1993 , at 7 : 15 p.m. , as to such proposal after
public notice; and
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Common Council has determined that it
is in the best interest of the community to provide for a
Cumulative Fire Equipment Fund;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GREENCASTLE THAT there be established a Cumulative Fire
Equipment Fund and that a tax be levied in an amount of . 04 per
$100 of assessed valuation which will raise approximately Twenty
Thousand Dollars ($20, 000 . 00) annually. The Cumulative Fire
Equipment Fund tax shall be levied annually beginning with the 1993
levy for a period of five (5) years .
This resolution shall supersede and replace Resolution No.
^1993-5 which shall be null and void.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT this resolution be submitted for
approval of the State Board of Tax Commissioners as required by
law.
PASSED AND RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Greencastle at its regular meeting this 8th day of June, 1993 .
