HomeMy Public PortalAbout19-1993-19 • RESOLUTION NO. 1993-19 A RESOLUTION CONCERNING RESIDENTIAL POSTAL BOX RELOCATION WHEREAS, the Greencastle Post Office has circulated questionnaires as to relocation of residential mail boxes from the house to the curb, and; WHEREAS, many community citizens have expressed concern that such relocation would adversely effect the esthetics and safety in the community, and; WHEREAS, the individual council members have received many comments objecting to relocation of boxes, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Greencastle City Council be on record as opposed to any relocation of residential mail boxes from house to curb. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that any proposal to relocate mail boxes on "tree strips" Cor public right-of-way be approved prior to its implementation by the appropriate city authority.
