RESOLUTION NO. 1993-22
A RESOLUTION TO DEFER THE $75,000.00 CONTRIBUTION
OF THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE CEDIT DISTRIBUTION
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle has limited funds in it's Cumulative Capital
Development Fund for streets and roads, and that the approximate $110,000.00 in repairs
on Albin Pond Road will necessitate the cancellation of all additional road work in the City
of Greencastle; and
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle continues to be behind in street paving and
cannot afford to postpone pledges made to citizens and neighborhoods for repaving projects
in their wards; and
WHEREAS, Albin Pond Road, in certain areas, is in Putnam County and is a county
road; and the county does have a responsibility to help in these repairs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Greencastle hereby notifies Putnam County that it will postpone the initial $75,000.00
contribution from the CEDIT distribution for one year or until the debt service begins for
the Putnam County Jail Project.
PASSED AND RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle at
its regular meeting this 9th day of November, 1993.
