A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MODIFICATION OF THE
CFF GRANT NO. 93-127 FOR FOX RIDGE (PHASE II)
WATER AND SEWER PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Greencastle has heretofore on the 13th
day of April, 1993, passed Resolution No. 1993-7 "A Resolution of the Common Council of the
City of Greencastle, Indiana Authorizing the Submittal of the CFF Application to the Indiana
Department of Commerce and Addressing Related Matters"; and
WHEREAS, during design it was determined that the location of the proposed lift station
should be modified by moving said lift station approximately 1300' to the East (along the South
side of the Southern Highway); and
WHEREAS, such location of the lift station will make it possible to abandon the present
Fifth Street lift station and the Heartland lift station; and
WHEREAS, the proposed lift station is outside of the original Phase II grant area,
however, the grant may be modified to include replacement and upgrading of existing water lines
a in the Fox Ridge Phase II project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GREENCASTLE THAT:
1. The modification of CFF Grant No. 93-127 be approved to include the
replacement of 2" diameter water mains with 8" diameter ductile water mains for 4,737' of
water main, 9 fire hydrants and appurtenances to be installed in the Fox Ridge Phase II area.
2. The CFF Grant No. 93-127 be modified to reflect the installation of 6,708 feet
of 8" PVC SDR-35 sewer line along Martinsville, Tennessee and South/Chadd Streets, as well
as along Zinc Mill Road to serve the Fox Ridge Phase II area.
3. The City of Greencastle's grant modification will require, and the City commits,
matching funds in the amount of $460,000.00 (original Resolution No. 1993-7 required
$500,000.00) for the CFF Grant No. 93-127 from the Indiana Department of Commerce.
