RESOLUTION TO DETERMINE PROPERTY BOUNDARY
BETWEEN THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE AND WOODS EDGE SUBDIVISION
WHEREAS, there is a dispute concerning the interest of The City of Greencastle
in and to the following described real estate located in Putnam County, Indiana:
Situate in the State of Indiana, County of Putnam and being a part of
the West half of the Southeast quarter of Section 22, Township 14 North,
Range 4 West of the Second Principal Meridian, more particularly
described to-wit:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of the West half of the Southeast
quarter of Section 22, Township 14 North, Range 4 West; thence North
00 degrees 10 minutes 04 seconds West 1647.46 feet with the West line
of said West half quarter to the true point of beginning of real estate
herein described; thence North 00 degrees 10 minutes 04 seconds West
20.61 feet to a railroad spike; thence South 89 degrees 49 minutes 19
seconds East 1323.45 feet to a 5/8 inch rebar on the East line of said
West half quarter; thence South 00 degrees 07 minutes 36 seconds East
12.67 feet with said East line; thence South 89 degrees 50 minutes 03
seconds West 1323.41 feet to the point of beginning, containing 0.51 of
an acre, more or less; and
WHEREAS, this dispute is not frivolous, and it would facilitate the
establishment of title to said property if The City of Greencastle would quitclaim any
interest it may have to the adjacent landowner.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE, INDIANA, THAT: A Deed be executed and
delivered to John D. Wood and Marjorie E. Wood, husband and wife, quitclaiming
such interest as The City of Greencastle may have in and to the above described real
estate, all pursuant to I.C. 36-1-11-11.
