A Resolution Requiring Approval of Plans and Specifications
in regard to the Proposed Water Utility Improvement Projects
by the Common Council Prior to Release to the Board of Works
for the Purpose of Advertisement for Bids.
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle is engaged in the process of planning, developing, and
eventually constructing significant improvements to the Greencastle Municipal Water Utility; and,
WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of the Common Council of the City of Greencastle, Indiana, as
the legislative body and chief fiscal body of the City to carefully review and approve all plans and
specifications and to maintain reasonable control over the costs of such improvements; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Common Council of the City of Greencastle to exercise its
responsibility in this regard, which will be in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Greencastle,
Indiana,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle,
Indiana, as follows:
1. All plans and specifications for the proposed Greencastle Municipal Water Utility
Improvements shall be submitted to the Common Council of the City of Greencastle prior to presenting the
same to the Board of Works for advertisement for bids.
n 2. The Common Council of the City of Greencastle shall have the sole and exclusive authority
as to when such plans and specifications for the proposed Greencastle Municipal Water Utility
Improvements shall be released to the Board of Works to commence the bidding process.
PASSED AN ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle, Indiana,this 13th day
of September, 1994.
