RESOLUTION NO. 2020-042
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION FOR THE STAFFING FOR
ADEQUATE FIRE AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE (SAFER) GRANT FOR THE
TIFFIN FIRE ASSOCIATION
Whereas, the Tiffin Fire Association would like to apply for a Staffing for Adequate Fire
and Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant; and,
Whereas, the Tiffin Fire Association will need the assistance, potential endorsement
and application from the City Council of the City of Tiffin for such grant; and,
Whereas, with the potential of a successful SAFER grant, the City of Tiffin reserves the
right to accept or deny such grant,
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, that it
authorizes the signature of either the Mayor, City Administrator or City Clerk on the
Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency (SAFER) grant application for the Tiffin Fire
Association, reserving the right to accept or deny such grant.
On the 26th day of May, 2020, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson Havens introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2020-042, A RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION FOR THE STAFFING FOR ADEQUATE FIRE
AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE (SAFER) GRANT FOR THE TIFFIN FIRE
ASSOCIATION and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Schnedler.
Ayes: Walls, Olney, Bartels, Schnedler, Havens
Nays: None
Absent: None
Whereupon five members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared
that RESOLUTION NO. 2020-042, A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
APPLICATION FOR THE STAFFING FOR ADEQUATE FIRE AND EMERGENCY
RESPONSE (SAFER) GRANT FOR THE TIFFIN FIRE ASSOCIATION to be adopted
and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 26th day of May, 2020.
