AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM
THE INDIANA DEVELOPMENT FINANCE AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the Indiana Development Finance Authority has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application to perform an environmental assessment of the Starr-Gennett area in the Whitewater Valley Gorge (the area located
between Main Street and South “G” Street).
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Indiana Development Finance Authority to perform an environmental assessment of the Star-Gennett area in
the Whitewater Valley Gorge (the area located between Main Street and South “G” Street).
The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Nineteen Thousand One Hundred Sixth-seven Dollars and Fifty Cents ($19,167.50)
Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to perform an environmental assessment of the Starr-Gennett area in the Whitewater Valley Gorge (the area located
between Main Street and South “G” Street.
Passed and adopted this 21st day of August, 2000, by the Common Council for the City of Richmond, Indiana.
