Home My Public Portal AboutResolution 12-93 Calling a special election respecting adoption of the Council-Manager plan of government RESOLUTION NO. /g.-93 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McCALL, IDAHO, CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION RESPECTING ADOPTION OF THE COUNCIL-MANAGER PLAN OF GOVERNMENT. WHEREAS a Committee appointed by the Mayor with the advise and consent of the Council has recommended that the City of McCall adopt the Council-Manager form of city government under Chapter 8 of Title 50; and WHEREAS the Council believes that it is and should be up to the voting citizens of McCall to determine whether this recommendation should be implemented, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of McCall that : Section 1 . The Council calls a special election as follows : A. The Mayor shall within ten days after this date establish and proclaim the date of a special election at which time there shall be put before the voters the following proposition as provided by IC 50-804 : "Shall the City of McCall, Idaho, adopt the council-manager plan of government, as set forth in section 50-801 through 50-812, Idaho Code?" B. The date shall be established in the light of the requirements of law for notice of elections and other administrative procedures, and in consultation with the City Clerk as statutory election official . C. The Clerk and the Treasurer shall make a recommendation to the Council for the amount of, and source of, the funding for this special election. Section 2 . This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage.
