Park Board Meeting-November 9, 2022

Mitch Dickerson-mentions Doug and Stacie as players.
Mayor Dory provided updated information. Spoke with contractor(Feutz)and their reluctance to add the pad at this time. He
indicated the patio will be built into the sidewalk contract in 2023.
Shade structure may be part of the project, but cost is a factor. Stacie has committed funding-pickleball will share in the
funding. Fencing is determinant on funding. Need to follow State procurement statutes.
Mitch: has remodeled a lot of projects. Shared fencing pics from Danville, Plainfield,Aquatic Center, and our courts. Our
fence is getting old and rusty. Some parts are detached and need repair. 13K for south side fencing and east side
fencing. Shade structure can be downsized. Linda Patrick is the new pickleball president-Mitch is leaving for 1.5 years to
Australia for a church mission. Dave Boswell-Mitch would like to name the patio after Dave,who is a cancer victim.
Lighting is a necessity.
Julie Carr-lighting at BB court-asking for permission to light the courts at SP.
Mayor mentioned the contact he had with a DPU grad who specializes in lights,electrical, and meet to discuss lights
throughout SP. Company specializes in sport facilities. Mayor and the Director will meet to discuss and plan.
Haleigh promoted programs, but the Pie Baking Contest in particular. Date is Saturday, 11/19/22. Needs one more judge-
has the Mayor and Joanna are committed.
Chrysta-Daniel and her are business owners. Hardwick has indicated there is a conflict of interest-understandable. He
knows our facilities and CS would be excused herself from future projects. Can he be a prospective vendor on future
projects? Motion to include Daniel in projects proposals, Motion CM JM second-passed.
Hardwick can react accordingly.
GKR presented security camera proposals for Robe Ann Park-S5 Security from Greencastle and Cornerstone Tech from
Indianapolis. S5 proposal was considerably less than Cornerstone. Motion to approve JM second TT S5 Security's bid.

CS talked about programming. Creative writing, pie baking,wilderness day, catch a spark,who's that track,winter painting
at Jaycee Park. Breakfast with the Grinch.Three Fat labs is donating the facility.Admission to$10.00,down from
$18. Starts at 10AM. December 10. CINDY-LOU LOOK ALIKE CONTEST. State Farm(Amanda)is serving the
buffet. Youth basketball starts soon. 22 have registered. Games start 2/4 until spring break. Skills clinic January 7.
Dave—lighting volunteers every Saturday in November. Lighting is December 3. Civic League is on top of things. 10-4 to
volunteer.
Director's report
Greg summarized another successful softball season with Moore's Bar winning the Champion's Bracket tournament and
Greencastle Hometown Auto winning the consolation bracket.
The Phase One project in Robe Ann Park is moving along at a nice pace. Completion of Phase One is still on schedule for
late November/early December.
