RESOLUTION 1996-20
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING CR 200E IN HONOR OF FORMER
COUNCILMAN JERALD D. CALBERT
WHEREAS, the much-acclaimed Quality of Life that we in Greencastle enjoy is the
result of citizens who give unselfishly for the betterment of our community; and
WHEREAS, Jerald D. Calbert personified that type of individual through his dedicated
service as City Attorney, Councilman and numerous other activities; and
WHEREAS, His wise counsel, tireless effort and behind the scenes work was
instrumental in Greencastle bouncing back from the potentially devastating I.B.M. closure; and
WHEREAS, the City has been contacted about naming a street after a distinguished
former resident and other requests might be anticipated in the future;
• THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the road currently know as C.R. 200E,the only
"unnamed" street in the City, be heretofore changed to Calbert Way in honor of Jerald D.
Calbert and his unparalleled service to this community.
