HomeMy Public PortalAbout1974-004RESOLUTION NO. 74-- 11 WHEREAS the various of leagues of municipalities have recently found it necessary to raise their dues dramatically; and WHEREAS new, higher dues in some cases have made it impossible for smaller municipalities to belong to all of the various leagues; and WHEREAS the interests of the Suburban League of Municipalities may be quite different at times from those of the Minnesota League of Municipalities; and WHEREAS it is necessary and desirable to preserve freedom of association for all municipalities; NOW, THEREFOR:, BE IT RESOLVED that the Medina City Council strongly disapproves of any attempt to force members of the Suburban League to join any other organization, and views any such attempt as an action that could threaten the stability of the Suburban League. Passed this 5th day of March, 1974, by the Medina City Council. Wayne Neddermeyer, Mayor
