WHEREAS, Ralph J. Miller, Elmer Miller, Wilfred Miller
and Joseph Miller, are the owners of approximately 140 acres
of land located in the City of Medina, County of Hennepin,
and State of Minnesota, being identified by tax plat and
parcel number as City of Medina No. 80, Plat 60008, Parcel No.
3745, said land being legally described as follows:
That part of the North 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4,
Section 8, Township 118, Range 23, lying West of the
creek; and Government Lots 1 and 2 and the Northeast
1/4 of the Southwest 1/4, Section 8, Township 118,
Range 23, except the following two tracts:
That part of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 8,
Township 118, Range 23, described as beginning
at a point 3974.8 feet south of the North quarter
corner of said Section 8 on the North line of
County Road 9 (Greenwood Road); thence Northwesterly
16 rods along North line of said road; thence North
parallel with East line of the Southwest 1/4 10
rods;.thence Southeast 16 rods to a point on the
East line 10 rods North of the point of beginning;
thence South 10 rods to point of beginning; and
That part of the East 200 feet of the West 640
feet of Government Lot 1, Section 8, Township
118, Range 23, described as follows: Commencing
at the Northwest corner of said lot; thence South
622 feet along the West line of said lot; said
West line assumed to have a bearing of North for
purposes of this description; thence South 75° 20'
East a distance of 420 feet; thence South 76° East
on a line to its point of intersection with the
West line of said East 200 feet, said point being
the point of beginning of the property being
described; thence South 76° East to the East line
of said West 640 feet; thence on a bearing of North
a distance of 352 feet; thence on a bearing of
West to the West line of said East 200 feet; thence
South to the point of beginning;
according to the Government Survey thereof; and
WHEREAS, said owners entered into a Purchase Agreement to
sell a portion of said land to Hennepin County Park Reserve
District, which portion to be sold is legally described as
follows, to -wit:
All that part of the Government Lot 1, Government
Lot2, and the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest
Quarter (NE 1/4 of SW 1/4) of Section 8, Township
118, Range 23 lying South of the center line of
the town road running in a Northwesterly -Southeasterly
direction across the South Half (S 1/2) of Section 8,
Township 118, Range 23, which road has also been known
and referred to as Medina Road No. 9 and County Road
No. 7, all in Section 8, Township 118, Range 23,
Hennepin County, Minnesota, according to the Government
Survey thereof.
Subject to the rights of the public in the aforesaid
town road; and
WHEREAS, said portion of land to be sold to Hennepin
County Park Reserve District is within the boundaries of the
Morris T. Baker Park Reserve, �. aproved the Village Council
of the Village of Medina on l� <;• , 1964;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it reso ed that the request by the
above named owners for a division of the land to be sold to
Hennepin County Park Reserve District from all of the land now
owned by the owners as first described above is hereby approved.
