HomeMy Public PortalAbout064-2000 - Grant - Bureau of Justice AssistanceORDINANCE NO. 64-2000 A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE WHEREAS, the Bureau of Justice Assistance has grant funding available; and WHEREAS, the Richmond Police Department desires to submit a grant application for a Local Law enforcement Block Grant (LLEBG) to install mobile data units (laptop computers) in patrol vehicle. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows: The Richmond Police Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant application for a Local Enforcement Block Grant from the Bureau of Justice Assistance to install mobile data units (laptop computers) in patrol vehicles. The Richmond Police Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Forty-six Thousand Six Hundred and Twenty-eight Dollars ($46,628.00). Said funds, if awarded to the Richmond Police Department, shall be appropriated to install mobile data units (laptop computers) in patrol vehicles.
