On motion of Mr. Taplin, seconder'. by Mr. Villeneuve, and voted, Mr. Maley was authorized to purchase a new nimcograph machine for approxi- mately $1,000.00. Mr. Maley reported that the new water pump station should be in operation on April 3rd. There being no further business on motion of Mr. Taplin, seconded by Mr. Villeneuve and voted, the meeting was adjourned at 11:45 A.M. Myor :'.TTSST . Vil.l.age Clerk March 29, 1975 April 3, 1475 The Council of Bai Harbour met in special session, Thursday, April 3, 1975 at 3:30 P.M. in the Village Hall. Present: Messrs. Beatty, Printup, Taplinand Villeneuve Absent: Fr. Brush Also present were Fred V. Maley, Village Manager.; Mary T. IN%tterer, Village Clerk; and Thomas H. Anderson, Village Attorney. Mayor Printup introduced Mr. Charles Kober, the consultant the Village had retained to study the Business District zoning. After discubuion, Mr. Kober told the Council that he could have an interim report ready in approxi- mately two weeks which would be reviewed and then a final report would be submitted within another two weeks. On motion of Mr. Taplin, seconded by Mr. Beatty, the meeting was adjourned at 4:20 P.M. 11aVpr FJT3ST:- _ The Council of Bal hazbour Village met Monday, P.pril 14, 1975 in the VilL ge Hall, for the purpose of inducting the new Council m emberb Into office. Present: Messrs. Beatty, Printup, Taplin and Villeneuve Absent: fir. Brush Also present were Fred W. Maley, Village Manager; Mary T. i•]etterer, Village Clerk; and Councilman -elect Herbert P. Davis. Mayor Printup asked those present to observe a minute of silence in memory of Mr. Brush who passed away on April 2nd. Miss tiletterer reported that the results of the April 1, 1975 election were certified by herself. and Margaret Zill and the four election clerks and were as follows: District 1 - Hather P. Schwartz 282; Sol M. Taplin, 542. District 2 - Robert J. Brush, 1.14; Herbert: R. Davis, 312. District 5 - John F. Beatty, 209. These results include Absentee Ballets which were opened on April 2nd and thereby Mr. Taplin and Mr. Davis will serve for four years and Mr. Beatty, two years. On motion of Mr. Villeneuve seconded by Mr. Beatty, and voted,the old Council was adjourned. Messrs. Beatty, Davis and Taplin were then sworn in as Councilmen by the Village Clerk. Mr. Davis was appointed temporary chairman for the meeting and called for nominations for the office of Mayor. It was moved by Mr. Taplin, seconded by Mr. Villeneuve that Mr. Printup be appointed Mayor. There being no further noninations on unanimous vote Mr. Printup was declared Mayor and sworn in by the Village Clerk. Mr. Printup called for nominations for the office of Assistant Mayor. It wns moved by Mr. Beatty, seconded by Mr. Villeneuve. that Mr.Taplin be nominated for the office. There being no further nominations, upon unanimous vote Mr. Taplin was declared Asaistant Mayor and sworn in by the Village Clerk. After discussion on motion of Mr. Taplin, seconded by Mr. Davis and unanimously voted the last Tuesday of each month,with an additional meeting on the second Tuesday, i.fneeded, was designa.t:ed as the regular meeting dates of the Council. Meetings will begin. at 9:30 A.M. There being no further business, on motion of Mr. Beatty, seconded by Mr. Taplin, the meeting was adjourned at 10:2C A.M.
