RESOLUTION NO. 1999-23
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE LOAN OF
INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDS
(FUNDING FOR PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING STUDY)
WHEREAS, in order to insure traffic management and safety and to implement the
Greencastle Transportation Plan, it is necessary to conduct a preliminary engineering study of
traffic patterns from Wood Street to Tenth Street; and
WHEREAS, the focus of said study shall be the corridor between Wood Street, and
Percy L. Julian Drive, and between Fifth Street and Tenth Street; and
WHEREAS, it has been estimated that the costs of the preliminary engineering study will
not exceed One Hundred Twenty-five Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($125,000); and
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Common Council desires to fund the preliminary
engineering study from the Industrial Development Fund.
WHEREAS, any expenditures from the Industrial Development Fund must be approved
in writing by a majority of the members of the Greencastle Citizens Advisory Commission for
Industrial Development:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
THAT the Common Council of the City of Greencastle authorizes payment from the
Industrial Development Fund in the amount of One Hundred Twenty-five Thousand and 00/100
Dollars ($125,000.00), as described above, for the purpose of conducting a preliminary
engineering study along Indianapolis Road from Wood Street to Tenth Street, contingent upon
approval of the Greencastle Citizens Advisory Commission for Industrial Development.
