A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION 1999-8
AUTHORIZING CONVEYANCE OF REAL ESTATE FROM CITY OF
GREENCASTLE TO THE GREENCASTLE COMMUNITY SCHOOL CORPORATION
WHEREAS, Resolution 1999-8 was passed unanimously by the Common Council for the
City of Greencastle conveying certain real estate known as the "Bus Barn Property" to the
Greencastle Community School Corporation; and,
WHEREAS, the legal description contained within the resolution was inaccurate.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution 1999-8 be hereby amended to
replace the legal description contained therein with the following:
Situate in the State of Indiana, County of Putnam and being a part of the Southeast
quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 16, Township 14 North, Range 4 West of the
Second Principal Meridian, more particularly described to-wit:
Commencing at a point on the West right-of-way of Vine Street and the North right-of-
way of Liberty Street in the City of Greencastle, Indiana; thence North 334.50 feet with
the West right-of-way of Vine Street to the true point of beginning of real estate herein
described, said point of beginning also being the Northeast corner of real`estate conveyed
to Handy's Milk and Ice Cream Company, Incorporated as described in Deed Record
128, page 494 in the office of the Recorder in Putnam County, Indiana; thence West
110.4 feet with the North line of Handy's real estate to the Northwest corner thereof;
thence South 85.0 feet with the West line of said Handy's real estate to the South line of
real estate conveyed to the City of Greencastle as described in deed Record 102, page 53
in the aforesaid Recorder's office; thence West 48.00 feet with said South line to the
Southwest corner thereof; thence North 166.98 feet with the West line of said City
property to the Northwest corner thereof and the South right-of-way of Jacob Street;
thence East 158.40 feet with the South right-of-way of Jacob Street to the West right-of-
way of Vine Street; thence South 81.98 feet with the West right-of-way of Vine Street to
the point of beginning, containing 0.39 acre, more or less.
The remainder of Resolution 1999-8 remains in full force and effect.
