RESOLUTION 2001-4
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING LOAN FOR GREENCASTLE
FIRE DEPARTMENT PUMPER TRUCK PURCHASE
FROM INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Fire Department needs $50,000.00 to assist in the purchase of a
$320,000.00 Pierce pumper tuck in order to replace a twenty-five year old truck; and
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Fire Department has received assistance in the purchase of the truck
from DePauw University, Happico, Heartland Automotive, Lone Star Industries and North
American Capacitor; and
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Fire Department Cumulative Fund has provided $120,000.00
toward the purchase, and
WHEREAS, Greencastle Township has agreed to contribute $50,000.00 by December 31, 2001,
but not upon delivery of the pumper truck; and
WHEREAS, funding for the remaining $50,000.00 shall be through a loan from the Industrial
Development Fund, such loan to be repaid upon receipt of the $50,000.00 contribution by
Greencastle Township. Full repayment shall be made no later than December 31, 2001. No
interest will be paid.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE GREENCASTLE COMMON COUNCIL
by its Resolution authorize a loan with the above restrictions in the amount of$50,000.00 for the
purpose of assisting in the purchase of a Pierce pumper truck for the Greencastle Fire
Department.
PASSED AND RESOLVED by the Greencastle Common Council this 21st day of February
2001.

COMMISSION FOR INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT by its Resolution authorize a loan with the
above restrictions in the amount of$50,000.00 for the purpose of assisting in the purchase of a Pierce
pumper truck for the Greencastle Fire Department.
PASSED AND RESOLVED by the Citizens Advisory Commission for Industrial
Development at its regular meeting this 7th day of February 2001.
