RESOLUTION 2001-7
^, A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FUNDING OF THE GREENCASTLE/
PUTNAM COUNTY DEVELOPMENT CENTER FROM
INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Greencastle/Putnam County Development Center, Inc. continues to play
a key role in attracting new business and industry, and retaining and assisting business and
industry; and
WHEREAS, a matching fund grant of$30,000.00 from the interest earned on the
Industrial Development Fund is needed to fund the Greencastle/Putnam County Development
Center for 2001, and the Greencastle/Putnam County Development Center shall raise an
equivalent sum from other sources.
WHEREAS, any expenditures from the Industrial Development Fund must be approved in
writing by a majority of the members of the Greencastle Citizens Advisory Commission for
Industrial Development.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that:
The Greencastle Common Council authorizes the expenditure of$30,000.00 per annum -
$15,000.00 payable in April and the remainder in October- for the 2001 year in matching funds
from the Industrial Development Fund, as approved by the Greencastle Citizens Advisory
Commission for Industrial Development on March 7, 2001.
PASSED AND RESOLVED this 13th day of March, 2001.
