RESOLUTION NO. 2001-11p
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING SURPLUS PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle owns a 1991 Chevrolet Caprice which is no longer
needed or used by the Greencastle Fire Department;
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle desires to transfer the title of said automobile to the
Madison Township Volunteer Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, said transfer is being made pursuant to Indiana Code §36-1-11-8;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE hereby
transfers title to its 1991 Chevrolet Caprice to the Madison Township Volunteer Fire Department
for the consideration of $1.00. Said transfer shall take place upon passage of a comparable
resolution by the Madison Township Volunteer Fire Department.
Further, the City of Greencastle makes no warranty whatsoever regarding the automobile,
and the Madison Township Volunteer Fire Department takes title to said automobile "as is" and
shall hold the City harmless for any liability arising from this transfer of property.
PASSED AND RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle at its
regular meeting this J day of May, 2001.
