Jaycees
WHEREAS, the citizens of the Greencastle community are the recipients of many hours of dedicated service and
philanthropic activities of the Greencastle Jaycees; and
WHEREAS, our Jaycees also support the annual Easter Egg Hunt, Roban Park, Jaycee Community Day, Thanksgiving
meals,the Community Giving Tree, Community Flags and other civic projects improving the quality of life in
Greencastle and Putnam County; and
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Jaycees have scooped millions of waffle ice cream cones to satisfy a customer's sweet tooth
and called millions of winning numbers at the Putnam County Fair Jaycee Bingo stand; and
WHEREAS, the Jaycees fire us up every Fourth of July and,along with Greencastle's own Mark Hopkins,give our residents
the best fireworks display in the east central section of Indiana; and
WHEREAS, members of the Greencastle Jaycees have continued to provide leadership,energy and inspiration to Greencastle
°'"` and the surrounding area, improving the lives of all citizens.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Greencastle,Putnam County,Indiana,
declares its gratitude for the members of the Greencastle Jaycees who have demonstrated that the people of the Greencastle
community are its greatest resource.
