Resolution Recog izing the Accomplishments of the
Lions Club
WHEREAS, the citizens of the Greencastle community are the recipients of many hours of dedicated service and
philanthropic activities of the Greencastle Lions Club; and
WHEREAS, Lions Club members and their families spend countless hours cooking fish and dishing up wonderful side dishes
and desserts in support of the Putnam County Food Pantry, the Putnam County Hospital, Greencastle High
School,Roban Park and other civic projects which have greatly improved the quality of life in Greencastle and
Putnam County; and
WHEREAS, the Lions Club has done so much to support cancer research at Riley Children's Hospital and is known for its
support of the Indiana Eye Bank, while working to arrest diabetes and provide eye glasses to countless
individuals.
WHEREAS, members of the Greencastle Lions Club have continued to provide leadership, energy and inspiration to
Greencastle and the surrounding area,and along with the Indiana Lions Club and Lions Club International have
improved the lives of people in Indiana and throughout the world.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Greencastle,Putnam County,Indiana,
declares its gratitude for the members ofthe Lions Club of Greencastle who have demonstrated that the people of the Greencastle
community are its greatest resource.
