REGULATIONS WITHIN THE CITY OF IONA. THE VARIANCE PROCEDURE
REQUIRES THAT I/WE NOTIFY THE ADJACENT NEIGHBORS/PROPERTY
OWNERS OF THE INTENT OF THE VARIANCE AND THAT A PUBLIC
HEARING WILL BE SCHEDULED BY THE MAYOR OF IONA TO RECEIVE
PUBLIC COMMENT ON THE VARIANCE REQUEST BEFORE THE VARIANCE CAN

Dear Jim and Cindy:
We have received and reviewed your request for approval of an addition to an existing
outbuilding on your property located at 2765 N. Barnes, Idaho Falls, Idaho.
The undersigned specifically note the following items as found in Protective Covenants
for Barnes Addition, No. 1, as recorded August 23, 1994, under Instrument Number
-884560:
1. Land Use and Building Type
A determination has been made as to the current use of the outbuilding
as well as the use of the proposed addition to building.
2. Architectural Control
We have received and reviewed plans for the addition as proposed.
14. Procedure
As outlined, we are submitting our findings in writing.
15. Variances
As outlined, we have addressed only the design, exterior, finish and
location of proposed building.
18. Non -Liability of Committee Members
As outlined, we have reviewed plans submitted to us for proposed
addition, solely on the basis of aesthetic considerations and overall
benefit or detriment which would result to the immediate vicinity and
Barnes Addition, No. 1, generally, but shall not be responsible for
reviewing, nor shall our approval of any plans or design be deemed
approval of, any plan or design from the standpoint of structural safety
or conformance with building or other codes.
We reference to the afore -mentioned items, we hereby register no objection to the
Carson's proposed addition to the outbuilding now located on their residential property
at 2765 N. Barnes, Idaho Falls, Idaho - 83401. The building is currently being used,
and the proposed addition will be used, as parking and storage for recreational
vehicles, etc. No commercial use is being made of the current building and no
commercial use is proposed for the addition to the building. We have reviewed and
approved the plans as submitted after being satisfied that the proposed addition will
be compatible with the residence and present building and will not be detrimental to
the immediate vicinity nor to Barnes Addition, No. 1, in general. We have taken into
consideration the design, placement, exterior finish, materials and similar features
proposed for the building addition; but our approval takes no responsibility for any plan
or design from the standpoint of structural safety or conformance with building or
other codes.
