HomeMy Public PortalAbout03-1992-3 GREENCASTLE BOARD OF WORKS Regular Session April 16, 1992 The Greencastle Board of Works met in regular session on Thursday, April 16, 1992 at 4:00 p.m. at the Greencastle Middle School. On call of the roll the following members were shown to be present: Mayor Harmless,Mrs. Crawley, Mr. Lanie. Also present was city attorney Larry Wilson. Mayor Harmless read a note from Mr. Alan Small, principal of Jones Elementary, thanking Jim Wright and the street department for their expedient response to the call for assistance in dealing with a pack of dogs on the school grounds. The minutes of March 19 regular session were distributed to the Board. Mrs. Crawley moved to approve the minutes as distributed. This motion was seconded by Mr. Lanie and carried by an aye unanimous vote. Presented to the Board was change order #2 on the Frank C. Feutz contract for the Greater Eastside Sewer Separation Project, Grant No. CF89-119. The change represents an increase of $4,265.91, changing the contract amount from $374,291.09 to $378,557.00. Mr.Lanie moved to approve the change order as presented. This motion was seconded by Mrs. Crawley and was carried by an aye unanimous vote. Presented to the Board was a supplemental agreement with Bernardin, Lochmueller & Associates for additional work on the Southern Highway Project. After discussion Mrs. Crawley moved to approve the agreement as presented. This motion was seconded by Mr.Lanie and was carried by an aye unanimous vote. The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission annual report was presented to the Board for approval before submittal. Mr. Lanie moved to approve the report as presented. This motion was seconded by Mrs. Crawley and was carried by an aye unanimous vote. The agreement in the amount of a fixed fee not to exceed $3,658.00 for grant administration for Grant No. ID89-028, awarded at the meeting of January 16, 1992, was presented and signed by the Board. Resolution 1992-3, A Resolution Authorizing the Sale of Surplus Real Estate (Conrail Right-of-Way,6.1 acres), was presented and read in its entirety by Mr.Wilson.Mr.Wilson noted that a public hearing on the sale has been published for April 30, 1992 at 4:00 p.m. at the Greencastle Middle School with the sale to occur at 4:15 p.m. on April 30, 1992 at the Greencastle Middle School. Mr. Lanie moved to approve Resolution 1992-3 as presented. This motion was seconded by Mrs. Crawley and was carried by an aye unanimous vote. The water department claim register in the amount of $45,036.64 was presented and reviewed by the Board. Mrs. Crawley moved to approve the claims as presented. This motion was seconded by Mr. Lanie and was carried by an aye unanimous vote. The sewage department claim register in the amount $44,355.89 was presented and reviewed by the Board. Mr. Lanie moved to approve the claims as presented. This motion was seconded by Mrs. Crawley and was carried by an aye unanimous vote. The city claim registers in the amounts of $232,457.45 and $381,410.88 was presented and reviewed by the Board. Mrs. Crawley moved to approve the claims as presented. This motion was seconded by Mr. Lanie and was carried by an aye unanimous vote.
