Jones City Hall Four East Walnut Street Greencastle, Indiana 46135 ' Clerk Treasurer GREENCASTLE BOARD OF WORKS EMERGENCY SESSION,FEBRUARY 28, 1996, 6:45 P.M., TZOUANAKIS The Board of Works met in emergency session on February 28, 1996 at 6:45 p.m. at Tzouanakis Intermediate School. On the roll call, the following were found to be present: Sue Murray and George Murphey. Also in attendance was Mayor Nancy Michael and Attorney John Zeiner. Mayor Michael called the meeting to order. Attorney Zeiner presented Resolution 1996-1, A Resolution Authorizing Expenditures of Industrial Development Funds. The Resolution states that the Common Council approved on the 16th day of November, 1995 to loan$300,000.00 to the Redevelopment Commission from Industrial Development Funds for the purpose of acquisition of land contiguous to the Putnam County Airport. Board Member Sue Murray stated that the Council agreed to loan$200,000.00 in Industrial Development Funds to the Redevelopment Commission for purchase of land,but $100,000.00 was suppose to be a loan to the County for their portion because of a cash flow problem. Ms. Murray asked if an agreement had been signed with the County. Attorney Zeiner stated that there was not, but that he and Bill Dory are working on it and answering questions that the County has raised. Attorney Zeiner also stated that the County wants to be sure that they have a long term lease on the Airport. Sue Murray made a motion to approve Resolution 1996-lwith a stipulation that the minutes reflect that it was not a$300,000.00 loan,but a$200,000.00 loan to the RDC and$100,000.00 loan to cover the shortfall for the County. George Murphey seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. These transactions will be reflected on the Claim Docket for the meeting scheduled March 20, 1996.
