HOPKINTON 300TH ANNIVERSARY COMMITTEE
JULY 1, 2013, 7:00 PM

Minutes
Chair Steve Kellet opened the meeting at 7:00 pm with the following members present:
Steve Kellet, Chair Alicia Shambo, Vice-Treasurer (absent)
Anne Mattina, Vice-Chair Jean Bertschmann, Secretary (absent)
Meghan McSkimming, Treasurer
I. New Business
None at this meeting.
II. Old Business
A. Farmer’s Market: July 28 and August 25
The Committee discussed the possibility of having HHS students help at events.
Anne Mattina offered to check with the Board of Health regarding giving away lemonade.
The Farmer’s Market booth raised $41.00 in June.
The Farmer’s Market booth is a good opportunity to distribute information sheets and
recruit volunteers.
B. Meeting with Friends Committee
Steve Kellett updated the Committee that the Friends awarded $2,000 for seed money to
order apparel and other commemorative items. Steve will work with Kathy Farrell to order
the merchandise.
C. Art Print
The Committee discussed the possibility of commissioning an art print to sell.
