RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE INDEPENDENCE BEACH
WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AND ORDERING THE
PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
WHEREAS, action of the City Council of the City of Medina adopted on
the 18th day of March, 1975 fixed the date for a public hearing on the construction
and installation of a Municipal Water Improvement Project and all appurtenances
to serve the property abutting on the following streets, pursuant to a petition of
affected property owners:
FERN STREET, WALNUT STREET, PINE STREET
BALSAM STREET, BROOK STREET, CEDAR STREET
LAKESHORE AVENUE, ARDMORE AVENUE, CO. RD. 19
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has given ten (10) days published notice of
said hearing by two weekly publications of said notice, together with mailed notice
thereof to all property owners in the proposed assessment district as shown on
the records of the Auditor of Hennepin County; and
WHEREAS, said public hearing was held thereon on the 1st day of April,
1975, at which time all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to
speak thereon;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Medina:
1. Said improvement is hereby ordered as proposed;
2. McCombs Knutson Associates, Inc, is hereby designated as the
engineer for said improvement and is hereby ordered to prepare
plans and specifications for the making of said improvement.
