March 4th 1946.
Regular Councilmeeting.
Mayor Vahlsing presided, and councilmen Neil Okones,H P Kruse
Wessel Haack and Albert Geerdes present.
Minutes of previous meetings were read and on motion by
-Haack and second. by Okones approved as read- motion carried.
Cigarette permits of Thomas Hoekstra and Eugene Huisman
were presented, and on motion by Kruse second by Haack a _permit
be granted to the above- motion carried.
Council annroved the cancellation of Cigarette permits
of Earl Greany and Henry A Geerdes.
It was moved by the council that the Town Clerk publish
a Notice of Election.
Councilman Okones introduced an ordinance entitled Ordinance
No. 100, being an/ Ordinance providing for the Election of Park
Commissioners, which was duly passed and adopted, as follows;
The motion waa seconded by Councilman Kruse.
Roll Call- Ayes- Haack- Kruse- Geerdes Okones
Nays none- absent Luwe.
Councilman Kruse moved that the rule requiring en Ordinanece
be read on three different days be (ispensed with, and that the
Clerk read the Prdina.nce as of its lst- 2nd and 3rd reading.
Motion second by Okones
Roll Call- Ayes- Haack- Kruse*;- Geerdes -Okones
ays - none absent Luwe.
Mayor declared motion carried.
Moved by Councilman Haack that Ordinance No. 100 having been
read for the third time, be and the same is hereby passed and
adopted by this council and that the Clerk be directed to publish
same in accordance with the law.
Motion seconded by Geerdes
Roll Call- Wyes- Haack Kruse, Geerdes Okones.
Nays - none- absent H L Luee.
Whereupon the Mayor declared this Ordinance duly adopted
and signed his approval of same.

The following were appointed for Judges and Clerks of the
Municipal Election to be held March 25th 1246
For Judges- Albert Geerdes W Haack W H Meyer
For Clerks- r, H Geerdes H L Luwe.
It was moved by Kruse that the Regular Municipal Election be held at ti
the Town Hall. Motion carried.

At the regular Municipal Election held on March 25th 1946
there were 72 ballots cast.
For

votes
For
Treasurer-

votes

votes
For Councilman- It M Boeke received 67.votes
H 0 Heddens" 65 votes
H.B Hook " 65 votes
Gordon Junker " 67 votes
Neil Okones " 68 votes
The above all having received a majority of all
votes cast, were declared Elected.

On the proposition and question ' Shall the Ordinance
providing; for the Election of X Park Commissioners
be approved', there were 72 ballots cast and 64
votes were for the adoption of the Ordinance and 5 against.
A Majority of all votes cent were for the Adoption
