Call to Order 2. Acceptance of Minutes • Minutes from 2.26.13 and 3.26.13 approved unanimously – Nancy abstained from both as she wasn’t at meeting. 3. Green Up/Shred day planning • April 27, 9 AM • Shred truck confirmed • Dumpsters will be at Whitehall, Sandy Beach and the ones behind the Middle School will be emptied. • Need to hear back from Christianne re reverse 911. • Andy to get more gloves and trash bags. • Best Buy likely to come by and take back computers. 4. Solar Farm Outreach Debrief • Outside proposal due to be made to BOS 4.23.13 • Zoning bylaw will go before our article, needs to pass before our article proceeds • If zoning bylaw fails, believe we should withdraw our article. • Laura – reach out to specific folks in town with a flier presenting the project benefits • Did a presentation last night at HCAM – will be aired starting this week. Peter and I plan to take a picture of the area on Fruit Street tomorrow. • At Town Meeting will have ~5 minutes to present – get down to ~ 5 slides and talk to these. • Create bullets with key points • One more presentation – perform a walkthrough of Fruit Street, target May 4, 1 PM. • Pre-walk on Saturday, April 20, 1 PM. 5. Old Business • Marathon Day • Planning on having a booth • Frank, Ken and Laura will be there • Margo checking on table and tent • Print out the one-pager for the solar presentation – spend up to $30 on copies SGC 040913 ~~ REV. 10/25/2013 ~~ PAGE 2 OF 2 6. New Business • Heard from a developer putting in a zero energy development off Hayden Rowe, wants to review with us. • Middle School teacher looking to set up some composting, told them to come to our next meeting. • Andy also got an email about a guest speaker in Upton talking about edible perennial gardening – John Root, Friday April 12, 7 PM, at Upton Town Hall. 7.
