RESOLUTION NO. 03 -4227
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY APPOINTING MARTIN R. COLE AS CITY TREASURER
WHEREAS, Section 708 of the City Charter of the City of Temple City provides for the appointive
office of City Treasurer; and,
WHEREAS, a vacancy in the office of City Treasurer shall occur upon the retirement of City
Treasurer Francine Maldonado on December 18, 2003; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Cole has the qualifications, education, and experience to faithfully and accurately
discharge the duties of the office of City Treasurer (in addition to his duties as City Manager).
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. Martin R. Cole is hereby appointed City Treasurer effective on December 18, 2003;
and,
SECTION 2. Upon the effective date of this appointment, Martin R. Cole is authorized and
empowered to perform any and all duties of City Treasurer as prescribed by the City Charter, the general
law of the State of California, and any other applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, or policies,
and as he may be directed by the City Council, from time to time.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on this 18th day of November, 2003.

I, City Clerk of the City of Temple City, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution, Resolution
No. 03 -4227, was adopted by the City Council of the City of Temple City at a regular meeting held on the
18th day of November, 2003 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmember - Arrighi, Capra, Wong, Zovak
NOES: Councilmember -None
ABSENT: Councilmember- Vizcarra
ABSTAIN: Councilmember -None
