RESOLUTION NO. 7-5: 3 3
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS ON INDEPENDENCE SEWER
A.ND WATER PROJECT (MUNICIPAL WELL)
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of
the property described in Resolutions and 757.3e , by the construction of
a municipal well, and all appurtenances thereto, bids were received, opened
and tabulated according to law, and bids were received which complied with the
advertisements as follows:

Cardon Construction & Masonry
Keho Construction
Lee Richert Plumbing & Heating
Overdahl Construction, Inc.
Stevens Well

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to award bids in two separate
sections as provided by Section 1-5 of the Instruction to Bidder; and
WHEREAS, it appears that Berglund -Johnson, Inc, is the lowest responsible
bidder on Section I, the piping, chemical equipment, 4,000 gallon pressure tank,
buildings and appurtenances; and
WHEREAS, it appears that Stevens Well Company is the lowest responsible
bidder on Section II, the 500 GPM well, pump, well assemply and motor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Medina, Minnesota:
1. The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare contracts for the
construction of the said improvements pursuant to the plans and specifications,
subject to the approval of the City Attorney.
2. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to
enter into said Contracts with Berglund -Johnson and Stevens Well Company in the
name of the City of Medina for the construction of said improvements according
to the said plans and specifications heretofore approved by the City Council and
placed on file in the office of the City Clerk.

3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return to all
bidders forthwith, the deposits or other financial guarantee made with their bids,
except that the depoists of Berglund -Johnson and Stevens Well Company shall be
retained until said contracts have been executed by all parties.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
