moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 75-'3133_5-
RESOLUTION DECLARING COSTS TO BE ASSESSED AND
ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT
ON INDEPENDENCE SEWER AND WATER PROJECT
WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the construction of sanitary
sewer and water improvements located as set forth in Resolutions 75-8
and 75-16, and the contract price for such improvement is $786, 104. 50,
and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of said improve-
ment amount to $188, 816. 00 so that the total cost of the improvement
will be $ 974, 920. 50 ; and of this cost the Hennepin County Park
Reserve District will pay $183, 890. 70 as its share of the costs,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Medina, Minnesota:
1. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed
is hereby declared to be $791, 029. 80.
2. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer,
shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially
assessed for such improvement against every assessable
lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected,
without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law,
and said Clerk is further directed to file a copy of such
proposed assessment in its office for public inspection.
3. The Clerk shall, upon the completion of such proposed
assessment, notify the City Council thereof.
