A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FROM THE
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY FOR THE PURPOSE OF
RECEIVING A BROWNSFIELD ECONOMIC REDEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE
GRANT
WHEREAS, The Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Brownfields
Economic redevelopment Initiative are design to empower Cities in economic
redevelopment to work together in a timely manner to prevent, assess, safely cleanup, and
promote the sustainable reuse of brownfileds; and
WHEREAS, The EPA has awarded cooperative agreements to states, cities,
towns, countries, and tribes for demonstration pilots that test brownfields assessment
models; and
WHEREAS, The City of Lynwood has prepared a Brownsfield Revitalization
Project Application to submit to the EPA for funding consideration; and,
WHEREAS, The City Council authorizes the Interim City Manager to execute the
application on behalf of the City Council
NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council does hereby resolve as follows:

Section 1. That the City Council approves the submittal Brownsfield Redevelopment
Initiative Grant to the EPA
Section 2. That the Interim City Manager is authorized to execute the application

Section 1. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and
