A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD RELATING TO THE ACCEPTANCE
OF INFORMAL BIDS FROM CONTRACTORS FOR EMERGENCY
REPLACEMENT OF THE 250 HORSEPOWER MOTOR AT
THE CITY WATER WELL NO. 19; AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO APPROVE '
PURCHASE ORDER.

,. WHEREAS, emergency replacement of the 250 horsepower at the City Water
Well No. 19 is needed; and
WHEREAS, staff brings in a water well contractor to perform these emergency
replacement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood Municipal Code, Section 6-3.13 allows for
informal bid for emergency purchases; and
WHEREAS, the replacement is estimated to cost $17,000; and
WHEREAS, these replacement was not anticipated in the Water Well No. 19; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby,.find,
proclaim, order, and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the,City Council of the City of Lynwood approves the acceptance
of informal bids from contractors for emergency replacement of the 250 horsepower at
the City Water Well No. 19.

Section 2. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to approve
purchase order.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
