THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS
ORDINANCE NO. 477
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION
FOR THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL AND
REPEALING ORDINANCES NUMBER 126, 388 AND
ALL OTHER CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; AND
AMENDING SECTION 2.1.9 OF THE CODE OF THE
CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE,
KANSAS:
Section 1. Amendina Section 2.1.9 of the Code
Section 2.1.9 of the Code of the City of Bel Aire, Kansas is amended to
read as follows:
"Section 2.1.9
Compensation Established
There is hereby established a salary of Four Thousand Two Hundred
Dollars ($4,200) per year for the office of Mayor of the City of Bel Aire, Kansas.
Said salary accrues on a monthly basis and is payable to the person lawfully
holding said office, at the rate of Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($350) per month.
There is hereby established a salary of One Thousand Two Hundred
Dollars ($1,200) per year for the office of Council member of the City of Bel Aire,
Kansas. Said salary accrues on a monthly basis and is payable to the person
lawfully holding said office, at the rate of One Hundred Dollars ($100) per month."
Section 2. Repeal
Ordinances Number 126 and 388 are hereby repealed. All other
ordinances or parts of other ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed.
However, any section of an existing ordinance not in conflict herewith is not
repealed and remains in full force and effect.
Section 3. Effective Date.
This Ordinance shall be published in the official city newspaper.
Thereafter, the salary provisions of Section 1 herein shall take effect and be in
force from and after May 1, 2009.
Passed by the City Council this 3rd day of February, 2009.
Approved by the Mayor this 3rd day of February, 2009.
