WHEREAS the Hennepin County Park Reserve District has petitioned
fOr a tax abatement on that property known as Plat 60018, Parcel 8020,
in the City of Medina; and
WHEREAS sailed parcel was not used exclusively for public purposes,
being used as a residence for park employees; and
WHEREAS the matter of tax abatements has had serious financial
implications for the city of Medina;

NOW, THLELFOR,:,,, BE IT RESOLVED that the Medina City Council
hereby opposes the granting of a tax abatement on the aforementioned
property; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes
Councilman Robert Franklin tc represent and amplify upon the city's
position at a public hearing before Jam agencies of the State of
Minnesota.
