. ~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWO.OD APPROVING THE HUD ANNUAL CONSOLIDATED
PLAN FOR FISCAL YEAR 1999,-2000
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and. Urban Development provides
. .federal funding in the form of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
and the Home Investment Partnership (HOME) Grant. These funds are made
i available to assist the City of Lynwood in providing decent .housing, a suitable
s ~ living environment and expanding economic opportunities, principally for persons
-~` ~ of low and moderate income; and'
WHEREAS, HUD has made $2,012,859 in CDBG funds and $630,000 .in
- HOME funds, and when this amount is combined with CDBG program .income in
the amount of $50,^000 and CDBG carryover funds in the amount of $100,000. It
. increases the total amount available for HUD activities to $2,792,859; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynvvood's Community Development Block Grant
Advisory Board Commission had conducted. the required Public Hearings ~to
obtain citizen input on the Annual HUO Draft Consolidated Plan for fiscal year
1999-2000; and `
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council has taken public comments and
. input into consideration, relating to community development and. housing needs;
. and ~ ,
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council does hereby find; determine, order
and resolve as follows:

~~ ~ ~ NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood .does hereby
` find, determine, order and resolve as. follows:
Section 1. The Annual..Consolidated Plan for fiscal year 1999-2000,.,
CDBG and HOME applications; to include any amendments recorded at the April
20; 1999, Council meeting, and the allocation of CDBG and HOME funds to the
. following activities for fiscal year 1999-2000:

Section 2. This Resolution authorizes the required submittal of the Fiscal Year
1999-2000 Annual Consolidated Plan, to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD).
Section• 3. This .Resolution shall ~ become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
