RESOLUTION NO. 04-4249
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY SUPPORTING ASSEMBLY CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 142
(DESIGNATION OF THE INTERSECTION OF STATE HIGHWAY
ROUTE 605 AND STATE HIGHWAY ROUTE 210 AS THE LOS
ANGELES COUNTY DEPUTY SHERIFF DAVID W. MARCH
MEMORIAL INTERCHANGE)
WHEREAS, Los Angeles County Sheriffs Deputy David W. March was tragically shot and killed
in the line of duty during the course of duty on April 29, 2002; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council remains deeply saddened at the loss of Deputy March and sends its
continuing condolences to Deputy March's family, friends, and co- workers; and,
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department has requested the City Council
consider a resolution in support of renaming the intersection of Route 605 and Route 210 "the Los
Angeles County Deputy Sheriff David W. March Memorial Interchange; and,
WHEREAS, the Honorable Edward Chavez, Member of the State Assembly, has proposed
Assembly Concurrent Resolution 142 which would accomplish this renaming in honor of Deputy March.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. The City Council, on behalf of the citizens of Temple City, hereby formally supports
the efforts of Assemblymember Chavez as embodied in Assembly Concurrent Resolution 142; and,
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to convey the City Council's support of
Assembly Concurrent Resolution 142 by forwarding a copy of this Resolution to Assemblymember
Chavez, Senator Margett (as co- author of the Resolution), and all other involved parties.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on this 17th day of February, 2004.

I, City Clerk of the City of Temple City, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution, Resolution
No. 04 -4249, was duly passed, approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Temple City at a
regular meeting held on the 17th day of February, 2004 by the following vote:
