A RESOLUTION ;OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNVNOO®
.AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATI®N OF $'125,000 TO COVER ~-IDDITIONAL
~111ORF(IER'S C®MPENSATI®N COSTS FOR FY 1998-99
~'" VhHEIQE.4S, the Worker's Compensation element of the City's Risk
~ , ~ Management functions is responsible for monitoring job injury claims; and
VI/HEREA$, staff works with legal counsel and third party administrators to
advise the City Council .on course of action relative to proposed settlements; and
VI/HEI4EAS, an ..increase in.settlement claimsand administrative costs 'has
caused insufficient funding to cover annual expenditures; and
W~IEREAS, an additional appropriation of $1.25,000 is needed to cover
:remaining costs for fiscal year ending-June 30; 1999.
. iVO1N, Tl•IEREFORE, BE IT ~'tESOLV~D, that the Lynwood' City Council
does hereby find;- proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
