A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVING THE ADDITIONAL TREES REMOVAL
FOR THE LYNWOOD SHINES PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO MAKE THE
NECESSARY FUNDS APPROPRIATION AND TRANSFER.
WHEREAS, City Council. desires to clean up the City in an effective and systematic
manner; and .
WHEREAS, City Council has initiated the implementation of the Lynwood Shines
Program to achieve said objective; and
WHEREAS, said program requires the citywide tree clearance trimming services
to provide clearance for the vehicular and pedestrian traffic and removal of dead and hazardous
trees; and
WHEREAS, a contract for said services was awarded to California Western
Arborists, Inc.; .and
WHEREAS, additional dead and hazardous trees, previously not identified, need
to be removed; and
WHEREAS, the removal of said. trees costs $37,990; and
WHEREAS, staff has identified unappropriated General Fund that can be used
for said services.
NOW; THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows
Section 1. That the City Council approves the removal ofiadditional dead and
hazardous trees for the Lynwood Shines Program.
Section 2. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to make the
following funds appropriation and transfer:

Unappropriated General Fund Acct.# 33-4453-4220
$37,990.00 $37,990.00
Section 3. That this resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its
adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 1st day of
June , 1999.
