RESOLUTION NO. 04 -4254
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER/CITY TREASURER TO
INCREASE THE CITY CREDIT CARD LIMIT TO A MAXIMUM AMOUNT
OF $25,000
WHEREAS, the City Council encourages prudent spending of taxpayer funds; and,
WHEREAS, in the 21st century, many public and private agencies are making use of alternative
payment methods for purchasing necessary goods and services; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City has had a Visa credit card account for some time to facilitate
certain purchases that are authorized as part of the City Council's annual adopted budget; and,
WHEREAS, in order to allow staff to more efficiently effectuate purchases of goods and services
in pursuit of their official duties, the City Manager /City Treasurer has recommended the City Council
update and increase the overall authorized limit of the City's credit card account.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. The City Manager /City Treasurer is authorized to implement certain improvements
in the administration of the City's credit card report, including expanding the number of credit cards issued
to authorized staff members; and,
SECTION 2. The City Manager /City Treasurer is hereby authorized to increase the overall limit of
the City's credit card account not to exceed an aggregate limit of $25,000; and,
SECTION 3. The City Manager /City Treasurer is hereby authorized to implement administrative
rules, regulations, and procedures to implement this change.
