A RESOLUTION OF .THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
•~ AUTHORIZING THE USE OF HOME PROGRAM FUNDS FOR THE
IMPLEMENTATION OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROGRAMS .

^ WHEREAS, The Department of Housing and Urban Development Section 24 -
CFR Part 9I has established regulations "for the administration of the federally funded and
f---- entitlement grant programs offered to the City; and
~` } . WHEREAS, the City receives an annual allocation of federal
_ funds under the
Home Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program to provide financial assistance and
affordable housing opportunities for low to moderate income persons; and -
WHEREAS., the City Council has conducted a public hearing to receive' citizens
- input regarding the use of Home Program funds as required by the federal regulations and
the City°s Consolidated Plan;-and
. • . WHEREAS, the City Council has approved an amended allocation of Home
Program funds to. implement an Affordable Housing Program; ,:;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that'the City Council of the City of
Lynwood has provided opportunities for public comment and conducted a public hearing
regarding the use of federal Home Program funds as required for citizens participation
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim City Manager is authorized to submit •
the Horne Program amendments to the-Department of Housing and Urban Development
' (HUD) and implement the Affordable Housing Program.
