A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE
. _ - AND ABANDON FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES A PORTION OF
~~ APRICOT STREET AND BEECHWOOD AVENUE, IN 'THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD
~~ WHEREAS, that ;portion of Apricot Streetbounded by the southerly line of
~ Lot 41 and the southerly line of Beechwood Avenue and that portion of Beechwood
Avenue bounded by the extension of the westerly line of Apricot Street and the ine
- connecting ,the :northwest and southwest intersections of right-of-way lines of
,Beechwood Avenue and Peach Street; as shown on ModjeskaTracf Map, iri the City of
Lynwood,. California,. Map Book 9, Pages 1'42-143 of maps in the. office of the` Los
- Angeles .County- `Recorder, are unneces'sary' for present or .prospective public street
- purposes; and . ~ `
' WHEREAS, the ,public interest, necessity and convenience require the
City Council. to vacate and abandon said streets; and ~ .
1NHEREAS, said streets, as above described, are shown on'the official
map of. the City of Lynwood, at the office of the City Clerk of said City, to which all
:parties interested .are referred for particulars as to the proposed vacation- ~ and .
abandonment; and

` ~ WHEREAS; the City Council elects to proceed :in said vacation and
abandonment under Section.8300 to 8324, inclusive, of the Streets and Highways Code
,.,~., ofithe~ State of California; as amended.
' - N'OW, THEREFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Lynwood as follows: '

Section 1: That ~ an easement be retained for, construction and' .
maintenance of utility facilities within the, .limits. of the street vacation as described
' ~ h'erein above:
Section 2: That the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood is directed to give
and post, as required 'by law,'Notice of Rassage~of this Resolution of Intention, and give
therein the legaldescription of said streets .proposed to.~be vacated and ,abandoned,
and specify the ,time and place . of hearing of this Resolution of Lntention, which is~
hereby fixed as follows:.
The hearing ao be, before the City Council of the. City of Lynwood, ~ at
11330 Bullis Road, in the City Council Chambers of the City of Lynwood at the hour of
6:00 p.m. on July 20, 1999, at which time. and place all persons interested may appear ,
and object. or protest o the proposed vacation and abandonment of said streets. If the
Gity Council finds from the evidence submitted that the streets are unnecessary for
present or prospective use, it may make its order:vacating all or part of the streets.-

Section 3: This resolution shalt take effect immediately upon its adoption.
