RESOLUTION NO. 99.88 -
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY .OF LYNWOOD '
APPROVING A HOME PROGRAM PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT AND A
' REHABILITATION LOAN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AND
THE SOUTHEAST LOS ANGELES COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
CORPORATION {SELAC-CDC). FOR THE REHABILITATION OF THE PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 12033 .SOUTH ATLANTIC BLVD.. AND TO MAKE THE NECESSARY
APPROPRIATION OF HOME FUNDS

WHEREAS, SELAC-CDC has submitted a request fora $45,000 loan to rehabilitate the. ,
l ~ building located at.12033 S. Atlantic Blvd.; and
WHEREAS, The.City Council has reviewed the SELAC -CDC request for funding and ,
the Council deems the activities to'be provided by the organization as consistent with the support
of the City of Lynwood Consolidated Plan five year strategy and that SELAC-CDC requires the
. " financial assistance of the City of Lynwood to initiate its activities; and '
WHEREAS, SELAC-CDC is desirous of,participation in. activities eligible under
HOME, and further agrees that the beneficiaries of its activities under.the program are or will be
individuals or families who meet the income eligibility guidelines as identified~in title 24 CFR
part 92.216/217 for a period of 10' years; and .. ; ~ .
• WHEREAS; the Council,authorizes the City Manager to prepare a HOME Program
Participation Agreement and a Rehabilitation Loan Agreement that is consistent with the
requirements established by the Department of Housing and Urban Development for the use,of ~
HOME funds at title 24 CFR 92; and .
WHEREAS, In order to proceed, HOME funds need to appropriated for this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby resolves as follows: ,
`~~ Section 1.. That the Council approves~the Agreements in the amount of $45 0 -
00 to SELAC CDC
~ for the rehabilitation of the property located at 12033 S. Atlantic Ave.
Section 2. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to prepare and execute the said
...Agreement in accordance with HOME Investment Partnership Program 24 CFR 92.
Section.3. That the City Manager is authorized to make the following fund appropriations and

Section 4. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
