A RESOLUTION SELLING SURPLUS PROPERTY
TO NEW MARKET FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle has acquired a new smokehouse for purposes of educating the
public about fire prevention and safety; and
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle owns an older smokehouse which is no longer needed or used
by the Greencastle Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle desires to transfer ownership of said smokehouse to the New
Market Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, said transfer is being made pursuant to Indiana Code 36-1-11-8;
NOW THERFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE hereby transfers
ownership of its older smokehouse to the New Market Fire Department for the consideration of$1,000.00.
Said transfer shall take place upon passage of a comparable resolution by the New Market Fire Department.
Further, the City of Greencastle makes no warranty whatsoever regarding the smokehouse and the
New Market Fire Department takes ownership to said smokehouse "as is" and shall hold the City harmless
for any liability arising from this transfer of property.
PASSED AND RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle at its regular
