REGARDIN'; HENNEPIN COUNTY TRANSPORTATION STUDY
WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Department of Public Works has conducted a Hennepin
County Transportation System Study and produced a draft final report, and
WHEREAS, the draft final report is a guide for the future roadway system under
County jurisdiction and contains recommendations, and
WHEREAS, there has been a long-standing need for a blacktop North -South road
in Medina between Co. Rd. 19 and State Highway 101, and
WHEREAS, such a road would be consistent with the Medina Comprehensive Plan
and would have police and fire protection, other municipal services and the
health, welfare and safety of the general public, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED that the Medina City Council specifically withholds approval
of any route for an additional North -South road, and that the Council announces
it's intnetion to require further study by the Planning Commission and the
Council, and consultation with the citizens of Medina, before approving any
route.
Passed by the Council of the City of Medina this 6th day of April, 1976.
