RESOLUTION 2003-9
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TEMPORARY LOAN OF
PARK NON-REVERTING CAPITAL FUNDS
(FUNDING FOR MAPLE/BERRY PARK PROPERTY ACQUISITION)
WHEREAS, the Property Tax Distribution for 2003 (2002 payable 2003) will not be
available until late September or October, 2003; and
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle Common Council and the Greencastle Park and
Recreation Board has pending Property Acquisition with a closing date of early March; and
WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Board has agreed to purchase this property and
related expenses (title transfer, closing costs, etc.) out of Park Non-Reverting Capital Funds, to
be repaid once the Property Tax Distributions have been made.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Greencastle Common Council
authorizes the expenditure of an amount not to exceed $11,500 (Eleven Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars) to be spent out of Park Non-Reverting Capital Funds , to be repaid by
December 31, 2003. No interest will be paid.
PASSED AND RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle at its
Regular Meeting this l lth day of March, 2003.
